Spring 2027 Tax Internship


Job Description:

Duerr & Cullen CPAs, is seeking a motivated and detailed-oriented Tax Intern to support our tax team during the tax season.  This internship provides hands-on experience in tax preparation, compliance, and research while working closely with experienced tax professionals.  We are looking for a team player; someone who is willing to learn, who can work independently, but knows the benefit of asking for help when needed. This position offers significant opportunities for career advancement, both within the tax profession and through long-term growth within our firm.

Job Functions:
  • Preparation of Federal and State tax returns for business, individual, fiduciary, and non-profit entities
  • Collaborate with tax partners, managers, seniors, staff and clients to provide high quality, professional service
  • Ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Provide support on firm consulting engagements
Job requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting ( In Progress or Completed)
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team
  • Self-motivated, hard-working team attitude
  • Detailed-oriented
Desired skills:
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft products (ie. Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Completion of tax related courses is a plus
  • Knowledge and use of QuickBooks is a plus

Experienced Tax Associate


Job Description:

Duerr & Cullen CPAs, is seeking an experienced Tax Associate to join our growing team! Our firm specializes in all areas of taxation. In addition, we provide business consulting, bookkeeping, sales tax, and payroll tax services. This position will involve performing all aspects of tax services. We are looking for a team player; someone who is willing to learn, who can work independently, but knows the benefit of asking for help when needed. This position offers significant opportunities for career growth and includes competitive compensation, bonus program, and benefits package.

Job Functions:
  • Preparation of Federal and State tax returns for business, individual, fiduciary, and non-profit entities
  • Collaborate with tax partners, managers, seniors, staff and clients to provide high quality, professional service
  • Ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Provide support on firm consulting engagements
Job requirements:
  • At least 1 year of public accounting experience, emphasis on tax return preparation
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Possesses or is working towards CPA license
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team
  • Self-motivated, hard-working team attitude
Desired skills:
  • Possesses or is working towards a Graduate Degree in either Tax or Accounting is preferred
  • Knowledge and use of CCH Prosystem Fx Tax is a plus
  • Knowledge and use of CCH Axcess is a plus
  • Knowledge and use of QuickBooks is a plus

Tax Senior Associate

In addition, we provide business consulting, bookkeeping, sales tax, and payroll tax services. This position will involve performing all aspects of tax services.   • Preparation of complex Federal and State tax returns for business, individual, fiduciary, and non-profit entities
  • Review tax returns and associated workpapers prepared by associates
  • Collaborate with tax partners, managers, associates, and clients to provide high quality, professional service
  • Provide training and support to associates
  • Ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Provide support on firm consulting engagements
Job requirements:
  • At least 3 years of public accounting experience, emphasis on tax return preparation
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Active CPA license – Certified in Florida, or in process of meeting FL certification requirements
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team
  • Self-motivated, hard-working team attitude
Desired skills:
  • A graduate degree in either Tax or Accounting is preferred
  • Knowledge and use of CCH Prosystem Fx Tax a plus
